NCCE Engages Agric Extension Agents

As part of efforts to strengthen the civic responsibilities and professional orientation of participants in the Ghana–Hungary Agricultural Extension Capacity Building Programme 2026, the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Ningo-Prampram District Office, engaged Cohort 1 participants on 21 October 2026.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Emmanuel Oppong Mensah, District Director of the NCCE for Ningo-Prampram, who took participants through the duties of citizens under Article 41 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.

The discussion focused on how these constitutional responsibilities can be translated into practice by agricultural extension agents in their engagement with farmers, farming communities and the wider public. Participants were encouraged to view their professional roles not only as technical responsibilities but also as an opportunity to promote responsible citizenship, community development, environmental stewardship and national development.
